Before I left Singapore, my aspired DJ -to-be Malaysian buddy, Chee Kiang, burnt for me my preferred Ministry of Sound – The Annual 2005 Deluxe compact disc. He attempted some modifications to the hits, not in the absence of the Zouk influence, the venue any person talks about in Singapore where he’s a frequenter.

I didn’t quite feel any distinction from the original record.

Perhaps he is not too familiar with music editing yet ( following all, Chee Kiang only has a laptop equipped with a Windows Media Player burner). What negligence, when music morphing features are already so accross the board, covering almost all there might be to audio morphing!

And the developing music editing softwares are making the list even longer. Not long ago, mixers used to be limited to only 5 file extensions (.wav, .mp2, .mp3, .ogg and .wma). Now, the products of Audio4Fun and Sony assist almost all the extensions there are (up to 14). Conversion of tunes under different formats into as a lot of categories is no longer an edge, but a norm with these music editor-players.

Not only in quantity, but the quality of the output is furthermore enhanced, with special attention to the pitch and timbre of the sound effects. And don’t be surprised getting to know that some music morphers now allow you unlimited freestyle mix-and-match of customized extractions of songs (yes, you may extract all the best verses of your preferred songs to create your own mega-hit). This defining feature is perhaps best demonstrated in the AV Music Morpher Gold.

A hip mixer is one who plays not only good music, but his own good music as well. The music juke boxes take as good care of specific wants of the demanding disc jockey as that of his above-mentioned special needs. He might drive club bers hysterically spinning by mixing his voice into any hip-hop favorite s, and further adding built-in juke effects or any of his pre-mixed sounds. That’s how far the music editors have been developed, to advocate disc jockeys keep club bers screaming for more.

Perhaps what distinguishes the music editing concept from other high-end digital streams (DVD morphing for instance) is that the technology is so user-friendly and complete that any average home deejay now could produce his own CD s, fully individual ized, from music to CD  cover. All Music Morphers of Audio4Fun help such thorough form of customization, though it is hardly seen elsewhere in the market.

So how’s the market embraced these creative editing tools? There are over 10 major music software producers, with large names such as Audio4Fun, Adobe and Sony (Audio4Fun is more specialist, as Adobe is more known for its PDF readers while Sony is an omnipresent titan). Products are for sale from a mere $9.95 to only $99.95, about the price of a DVD player. Free downloads of music editing softwares are furthermore available on the Internet (legally, of course).

The combination of an extensive supply chain, low pricing and numerous aid features could herald an age of home recording audios, where home deejays savor unique mix-medleys that even the Zouk venue bers crave for.

Progressive rock appeared in the late 1960s when rock performers wanted to break down the barriers of radio formatted pop and rock and progress this music genre to a place where it may achieve a more sophisticated sound, similar to that of classical music or jazz. Progressive rock is truly hard to define in one conclusive way and all of us have progressive rock artists to prove that. Some of the the majority necessary artists of the 70s that defined this rock form did not have the same sound.

Psychedelic music is believed to be the starting point of progressive rock. Some people additionally believe that performers like The Beatles contributed to the progressive rock movement. Still, the two progressive rock performers that the majority people see as being the first of this new- found genre were King Crimson and Yes. The progressive rock performers appeared at the end of the 1960s and although the first band was attributed to hard progressive rock sub- genre and the second to symphonic rock, they were both catalogued as progressive rock bands, as their sound has been unique and more sophisticated. Genesis is yet another rock band that aspired to progressive rock. Their third progressive rock album  set things straight for this band. They were a symphonic rock band and thus a progressive rock band.

wonderful Britain was the 1st country that started the progressive rock movement, but Italy was not far behind either. Banco Del Mutuo Soccorco and Premiata Forneria Marconi were progressive rock bands that led the way for all rock bands all over Europe to progress and define this rock type of. As far as the progressive rock movement is concerned, these two European countries were the ones that opened all doors and invited all rock bands to evolve and give the world wonderful progressive rock albums. However, wonderful Britain is still the top  promoter of progressive rock bands, with Caravan, another progressive rock band from this country, being the one that defined the third sub- type of progressive rock: Canterbury. Now,at the end of the 1960s, progressive rock bands established three sub- type of s: hard prog, symphonic and Canterbury.

The 1970s represented the crowning of progressive rock as a genre and some of the biggest progressive rock albums were released in this decade. Jethro Tull’s “Thick as a brick” or Rush’s “2112” are only two of the the majority appreciated progressive rock albums released in the 70s. Likewise, this decade brought another ten sub- genres of progressive rock to life, and a lot of progressive rock performers came forth in this period. As if progressive rock was not complicated enough, art folk, classical prog, folk prog, ambient, Rio, pomp prog, jazz fusion, electronic, Zeuhl and krautrock were listed as sub- genres of the 60s rock genre.

In the next two decades, progressive rock did not progress as much as it had up to that moment. In the 80s, it was dethroned by the punk movement and progressive rock performers chose to give birth to another sub- type of : neo progressive. There were few progressive rock albums released in the 80s, some of the most prolific ones being Rush’s “Moving Pictures” or Fate’s Warning’s “No Exit”. Progressive metal rock was likewise listed as a sub- type of in this period. The 1990s were dominated by the development of metal prog, through Dream Theatre. This decade is mainly characterized by the revival of the progressive scene of the seventies.

Music has always played a major part of my life, as from the earliest age I could remember classical music constant ly playing in our home. Dad had a lot of 78s and an electric player which required frequent needle vary s. In fact I used to watch him vary them religiously every eight plays – not something he would let anyone else do!!
As children,  we  used to give singing recitals – especially at Christmas times!! I am grateful for the exposure our parents gave us to music – even if dad has been a bit single minded when, in the late 50′s my brother Kenneth, bought home a recording of a new rock-n-roll singer called Buddy Holly I think dad thought it has been not proper music and that the record could n’t possibly be up to the same standard as his Beethoven or Mozart recordings!!
He used to have constant discussions with Kenneth about playing them on his’ radiogram. And as for the Beatles and Rolling Stones records I wanted to play a few years later – no comment!!
Both my two brothers were taught to play classical music on the piano by our Aunty Win. For myself; it has been 1962 and I has been far too interested in my Uncle Frank’s brand new MGB roadster to concentrate – try as my mum did to  promote  me!!
My eldest brother, Robert, turned out to be a highly accomplished musician – playing the French horn professionally for a lot of years. Kenneth, my other brother, in later years, would get all his beer bought for him in the NAFFI bar, bashing out songs when  we  had a session – mind you he always had a bad head the next day!
After I left home and joined the British Armed Forces, I’ve to say my mates were not too happy about Grieg being played in the barrack room. Same problem as my dad had – divergent music. So I had to use earphones to listen to him. But when ‘The Who’ came on – now, that has been a divergent story – then  we  used to get into trouble with the Duty Sergeant for playing the music too loud!!
Anyway, over the years, I’ve developed a passion for all types of music and my collection of vinyl records has now grown to include Amadeus Mozart through to Led Zeppelin. But, I guess if I had to choose just one piece of music to take to that desert island it would have to be:
Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra No1 in F Minor, Op 73
My favorite recording of this outstanding piece: (only one of several !)
Deutshe Grammophon 136550 SLPEM (stereo – 1968) Karl Leister, Clarinet, Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik.
I bought this recording whilst stationed in Ger a lot of in 1970 – since then I’ve gain ed other fine recordings of the Concerto, but I find Karl Leister’s interpretation of the Adagio(in particular) perfectly captures Mozart’s objective of writing the most profoundly expressive movement for a solo instrument.
90.Free Country Music Internet Radio
For generations, radio has been a source of information and entertainment. Over the years modern developments have been partnered to match modern trends and needs. With the arrival of Internet and PC appliances, most organizations have in company d functional vary s. This holds true even in the case of radio stations that have reinvented their approach towards expansive casting. Country music radio stations no longer serve as a easy medium. To compete with other radio channels, TV and Internet sources, free Internet radio has gained popularity. Country music offers a expansive  variety and it becomes increasingly difficult to classify the divergent types of classical music. AM and FM country music radio stations previously played several tracks in a row. Most of these collections had truly few classics and audiences had to make do with repeated tracks. This fuelled the need for country music Internet radio.
AM and FM radio no longer dominate as mediums to deliver music. Expansion and development of the satellite and free Internet “radio” has been hasty due to low start up and operating costs. Free Internet radio channels are able to store a large collection of classic country music. For this reason, audiences with diverse country music preferences are able to assess their choice s. Numerous free country music Internet radio sources are dedicated to specific genres of country music.
Even though Internet radio evolved over a decade ago, the mechanism is yet to develop to its full potential. Studies reveal that free country music Internet radio sources are a popular choice for young audiences. Since Internet sources are easy to use, a number of older and retired people have furthermore turned to free country music Internet radio sources. This is because most members of the older generation were a part of the country classic music scene when it has been booming.
